UPI clocked an impressive 14.436 Bn transaction in July 2024, an increase of 44.87% yoy. Since its launch, over 0.357 Tn transactions have been done over UPI by an estimated 322.58 mn unique users. The success of UPI is a testament to the contributions of various ecosystem members since its launch in 2016. Leading the charge was NPCI’s BHIM - India’s first UPI app that guided most of the early adoption of UPI.
Over 107.34 Mn Android downloads and 7.80 Mn IoS installs have taken place for BHIM app. It now offers a variety of payments and related services, including RuPay credit card payments via UPI. Continuing to transform, BHIM now aims at providing an enhanced interface, newer features and embedded services focused on underserved customers.

We will conduct a webinar on 9-14th August, 2024. Expert session on Gender focused solutions, Session NPCI/BHIM team on technical queries.
Participants are free to use any programming languages, technologies, or frameworks suitable for their application. The goal is to create innovative solutions using the best tools available.
Developer/participant will own the IP (Intellectual Property) Rights of the product/code. To ensure security of your code, please avoid sharing any source code unless specifically asked by NPCI or IIMA Ventures.
The entire idea need not be fully implemented. However, the submission should be functional so that it can be reviewed by the judges. Wireframe, screenshots etc. can be used to present the entire flow wherever needed.
